The views from the West Side YMCA were stunning, with beautiful, colorful trees and a conveniently close location to the finish of the marathon. I enjoyed taking in the city view and the landmark view from the property. One memorable interaction was with the staff at the 24-hour front desk who provided excellent support and assistance throughout my stay. I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary wireless internet access, making it easy for me to stay connected during my trip.

I was disappointed to find that my room was located near the bathrooms, and the doors slamming throughout the night disrupted my sleep.

The hostel's location was mind-blowing, just steps from Central Park, two metro stops nearby, and easy access to Times Square. The deluxe bunk bed room was super clean, spacious, and had great amenities like a flat-screen TV and fridge. The semi-private bathroom was a jaw-dropping surprise, with easy access and full privacy. The art deco style and access to the gym and pool were fantastic. The neighborhood was amazing, with convenient stores and good restaurants. The staff were friendly, and the option to leave luggage after check-out was super helpful. I highly recommend this place for its incredible value and overall experience.

During my recent transit in New York, I stayed at the West Side YMCA for its convenient location. Situated just 1.6 km from Columbus Circle and other prominent attractions, it made for a great stopover. the 15 km proximity to LaGuardia Airport was a major advantage for my tight travel schedule.

Despite the convenient location, the check-in process at the West Side YMCA took an incredibly long time. It would be beneficial for the hotel to streamline the process by providing pre-filled informational cards and clear signage for guests to have their IDs ready upon arrival.

The hotel's decor was delightful and brought a sense of comfort and coziness, making me feel at home during my stay. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and provided ample seating, which was perfect for taking a moment to rest during the day. As a senior, I found the hotel's accessibility to be excellent, with convenient handrails in place and spacious elevators, making it easy to navigate the premises.

I would ask for a better vacation for senior people if the children of the staff were more attentive to providing assistance with luggage upon arrival.

During my Thanksgiving stay, I appreciated the complimentary coffee and the cozy common area. Additionally, the hotel was within walking distance to Central Park and other attractions in the city. One added benefit was the air conditioning in the room, which helped keep me comfortable during my stay.

My experience was not without its faults. The noise from the industrial fan outside my window was unbearable and made sleeping difficult.

Location & Gym. The location was great for sightseeing and shopping. The gym was clean and well-equipped.

Dirty Room & Noise. The room was dirty and unkept, with loud noises coming from the hallway all night.

This budget-friendly hostel had a great location and super friendly staff. The single room provided a private space to sleep, and the shared bathrooms were always clean. The gym had a wide range of equipment and facilities, including free weights, machines, and a running track.

Felt extremely safe, and the staff was always willing to help.

The location is like, super spot-on, man. It's a cinch to hop on the subway and get around. The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff are cool and helpful all the way. The chill vibe of the place gives you good relaxing options, like a sauna and an indoor pool. The only tiny downer was the strong whiff in the hallway but yo, it didn't really bother my overall stay. 🌆
